StudyVerse is built for students, so privacy matters. We collect only what we need to run accounts, generate study roadmaps, improve the platform, and keep the service reliable. Please do not enter private or sensitive information into StudyVerse forms.
A. Introduction
This Privacy Policy explains how The StudyVerse collects, uses, stores, and protects information when you use our website, Study GPS, feedback tools, account features, and related study services.
We try to write privacy information clearly so students and parents can understand it together. If anything is unclear, you can contact us at the email listed at the end of this page.
B. Who This Policy Is For
This Policy is for students, parents, guardians, teachers, and visitors who use StudyVerse. It is especially important for students under 18 and their parents or lawful guardians.
If you are under 18, please use StudyVerse with permission from your parent or lawful guardian.
C. Information We Collect
Depending on how you use StudyVerse, we may collect the following types of information:
- Account information: email address, login details handled by our authentication provider, account status, and basic security information.
- Profile information: name or display name, class, board, school-related preferences, subjects, goals, and settings you choose to save.
- Roadmap information: selected subject, chapters, exam timeline, hours available, confidence level, difficulty preferences, weak areas, task choices, progress, and feedback about roadmap quality.
- Feedback information: ratings, written feedback, bug reports, suggestions, feature requests, and optional messages you submit.
- Technical information: browser type, device type, approximate region, timestamps, page activity, errors, logs, and basic security or hosting records needed to run the service.
D. Information We Do Not Intentionally Collect
StudyVerse does not intentionally ask students for sensitive personal information such as home address, phone number, government ID, exact school roll number, health information, financial information, caste or religion, or private family details.
Please do not enter private or sensitive information in roadmap forms, feedback forms, uploaded files, or messages. If we find unnecessary sensitive information, we may delete it or ask you to remove it.
E. Why We Collect Information
We use information to:
- Create, secure, and manage accounts.
- Generate and save study roadmaps, tasks, and progress.
- Personalize the platform based on subject, timeline, confidence, and preferences.
- Respond to feedback, bug reports, and support requests.
- Improve accuracy, usability, reliability, and student safety.
- Prevent abuse, troubleshoot errors, and protect the platform.
- Meet legal, security, or operational obligations where required.
F. AI Roadmap Disclosure
StudyVerse may use AI services to help generate study roadmaps and task suggestions. When you generate a roadmap, the information you enter for that roadmap may be sent to an AI provider so the plan can be created.
This may include your selected subject, chapters, exam timeline, confidence level, available hours, preferences, and study challenges. Do not enter private or sensitive information. AI outputs should be reviewed by the student, parent, or teacher before being followed.
G. Third-Party Services
StudyVerse may rely on trusted third-party services to run the platform. These can include services for hosting, authentication, databases, email, analytics or logs, AI roadmap generation, YouTube or resource lookup, and feedback collection.
Examples may include Cloudflare, Supabase, Google services such as Gemini or YouTube APIs, and form or email tools. These services process information only as needed for the feature they support, subject to their own policies and security practices.
H. YouTube and External Resources
StudyVerse may show YouTube videos or links to external educational resources. When you open external links, those websites or services may collect information under their own privacy policies.
StudyVerse does not control YouTube recommendations, ads, comments, tracking, unavailable videos, or changes made by external sites. If a task has no verified resource, you may see: No verified resource is available for this task yet. Please use your own textbook, notes, or trusted teacher-recommended resources for now while we improve this part.
I. Students Under 18
StudyVerse is designed for students, including students under 18. We ask younger users to use the platform with parent or lawful guardian permission.
Parents or guardians can contact us to ask questions, request correction or deletion, or raise concerns about a student's information. We do not knowingly ask children to share unnecessary private information.
J. Consent and User Choice
By using StudyVerse, creating an account, generating a roadmap, or submitting feedback, you choose to provide the information needed for those features. Some information is required for a feature to work; for example, a roadmap cannot be generated without subject and timeline details.
You can choose not to submit optional feedback, not to open external resources, and not to save certain profile details unless a feature requires them. You can also stop using StudyVerse at any time.
K. Correction and Deletion
You may ask us to correct or delete personal information associated with your account where possible. Parents or lawful guardians may also contact us about information related to a student under their care.
To request correction or deletion, email us from the account email when possible and include what you want changed or removed. Some limited records may need to be kept for security, legal, backup, or abuse-prevention reasons.
L. Retention
We keep information only as long as reasonably needed for the purposes described in this Policy, such as running accounts, providing roadmaps, maintaining progress, reviewing feedback, improving features, and keeping the platform secure.
Retention periods may vary depending on the type of information, whether an account remains active, technical backup cycles, and legal or security needs.
M. Security
We use reasonable safeguards to protect information, including access controls, trusted service providers, and platform security practices. However, no online service can promise perfect security.
Please keep your password private, avoid sharing your account, and do not submit private or sensitive information that StudyVerse does not need.
N. Build Logs and Testimonials
StudyVerse may share build progress, feature updates, or student-friendly examples publicly. We will try to avoid including private personal information in build logs, screenshots, public demos, or testimonials.
If we want to publish a testimonial with a name, identifiable detail, or direct quote that could identify a person, we will seek permission where appropriate. Feedback may also be summarized or anonymized to explain product improvements.
O. Cookies and Local Storage
StudyVerse may use cookies, local storage, and similar browser technologies to remember login state, settings, theme, sidebar preferences, roadmap drafts, or basic app behavior. These tools help the site work smoothly.
We do not currently use third-party advertising cookies. You can clear browser storage through your browser settings, but some features may reset or stop working correctly.
P. International Processing
StudyVerse and its service providers may process information in different countries depending on hosting, database, AI, and infrastructure services. Privacy and security rules can differ by location.
By using StudyVerse, you understand that information may be processed outside your state, region, or country as needed to provide the service.
Q. External Links
StudyVerse may link to external websites, YouTube videos, documents, forms, or resources. Once you leave StudyVerse, that external service is responsible for its own content, privacy practices, cookies, and data handling.
Please review external sites carefully and use trusted learning sources recommended by your school, teacher, textbook, or guardian.
R. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy as StudyVerse changes or as privacy expectations and legal requirements evolve. When we update it, we will change the effective date on this page.
Continued use of StudyVerse after an update means the current Policy applies to your use of the platform.
